Okay folks, here is my before (in case you forgot)!
And here is the after...
I started off following Ashley's tutorial but tweaked things a little to fit my photo:
1.Created a duplicate and applied high pass filter
2.Adjustment Layer: Levels
Shadows 5
Midtones 1.38
3. I skipped Adjustment Layer: Color Balance
4.Adjustment Layer: Black and White (@9% opacity)
5.Adjustment Layer: Brightness (+11) and Contrast (+25)
6.Ran Florida Action
Here they are side by side for a better look!
Do you think I went to light? I would love to hear what you think!
I think it looks nice - next week I'll try to talk about layer masks and how you can use them to erase part of the effect if you think something looks too light. Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's too light, but then I prefer edits that make the photo look as it appeared to the eye. This looks like how I would think she would appear in the snowfall, very bright and light, so I like it. Good work!
ReplyDeleteLove it! So bright. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. What a great edit. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love the pop your adjustments gave your photo! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteGreat edit! And what a cute shot!
